Default Battery Charging...or not?

Hey all, just another question from me. I was driving home and my battery wasn't charging at full capacity for anything, Not when it was slowing, not when headed downhill and not when I was braking at 40mph (I know if it gets too low, it charges less). Is this something I should be concerned about? Or are the hotter summer temps affecting my charging battery?

If anyone was curious, I think it was due to heat. Once it cooled off, it started charging normally again. Guess this was a first timer eh!

Yes that has happened to me also.

You may find that charging at high rate for an extended period of time (going downhill from a mountain, for instance) will cause the same effect.
