Got mine this past weekend in the mail took about 1 week after they cashed my check. Two weeks total. I got four stickers ( the ugly yellow with black lettering ) and put all of them on the car ( yuck) but hey i get to drive in the HOV lane so whatever

 

Anyone have any pictures posted of their cars with the HOV stickers on?

I got mine yesterday. I mailed in for them the 2nd day offered.

If you have the money, get magnetic sheets and stick them to the stickers, then on the car. If you do it carefully nobody will notice at all and you'll be able to take them off at any time.

About using magnets, would magnets really stick to the bumpers? Aren't they plastic?

Also, that would make it extremely easy for someone to steal them I would think.

I guess you could always scan them and print out new copies to be glued to new magnets??

 

My guess is that they are not "scannable" because of some features of the sticker, but it doesn't matter. You can send away for replacement stickers if yours are lost or stolen. The magnets would not stick to the bumper, but should stick to the quarterpanel, which is metal. I would take a refrigerator magnet and test it before applying the sticker to the magnet sheets. Also, they would be easy to steal which means you would be prudent to remove them when parked.

 

That's what I hear. I mailed mine in on Tuesday, the third business day after they were offered. I called the DMV, and boy, are they gems.

7:55 - Call to DMV and the answer was 'call back, we don't start work until 8:00'
8:30 - 'Sorry another department'
8:35 - 'We are behind and are working overtime! I can't check the status, go to your bank and see if your check was cashed. Wait two weeks. I'm even working Saturday'

To make a long story short, these guys are not too customer friendly.

I mailed mine on the 17th and the DMV cashed my check yesterday, the 30th. I would expect to receive them on either Saturday or Monday based on the experience of others. I'm still undecided on what I will do on the side stickers. I may just not put them on and if I get pulled over, tell the officer that I have not placed them because I am researching ways to prepare the paint so the sticker will not damage it.
