I've read other's posts about replacing the Civic Hybrid horn with a Hella brand horn.

On other Civic boards, I've seen that people have recommending swapping out the Civic horn with a standard Honda Fit or Honda Accord horn. Has anyone done this? Recommended?

I don't see something wrong with it? as long as they have the same voltage.

 

I was thinking of an old Dodge horn. Something that said "Oh #@#%%@$!!!!! GET OUTTA THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!" instead of "Um, pardon me. Hello? Is this thing on? Hello? Excuse me. Please?"

 

I put the 130db Hella horns on my HCHII and now when I honk people know it!

 

Are the horns pretty easy to install? Is it just a matter of connecting the wire and screwing in the bolt?

More or less. You do have to fabricate a small sub-harness for the 2 horns, but that is about it.
