another good tech. article
for all those hch ii tech. fans out there:
http://www.k-series.com/news_details.php?news_id=60
highlights of the article (unique features of hchii compared to other hybrids):
honda's next generation global compact platform used in the hch ii.
ACE Body Structure added for enhanced frontal collision safety between vehicles of different sizes
torsional rigidity increases 35 percent.
honda's use of high-strength and high-grade steel in hch ii's construction.
superior 4-wheel independent suspension.
flush mounted glass to surrounding body panels for decreased wind noise.
"zero" gap tolerance for front and rear bumpers (less than 1mm).
six-layer resin fuel tank (as opposed to more standard steel tanks) = zero evaporative emissions & extremely light weight.
return-less fuel supply system for reduced vapor generation.
the civic's hood and fender areas are designed to deform if contacted by an adult or child pedestrian to help reduce pedestrian injuries in the event of a collision.

Re: another good tech. article
Very good find! I think it's taken from the hondanews.com or world.honda.com sites, but one thing I noted (and I'm still reading through it) - the question in the other post musing about if the rear spoiler was functional (downforce), simply cleaned up airflow around the body, or was purely decorative - it's the first two (although decorative, it's not *purely* so)

Thank you very much for that article. These are the parts which we cannot show to the neighbours but undeline the value of our investment. Similar articles obviously exist for all makes, but I for one can see that Honda is certainly a world leader! Good luck to the F1 team in Malaysia on Sunday.
