2007 Honda civic hybrid battery replacement after dying after jump starts
Had a close to 6 year old battery. After jumping it & driving around it wld die again & again. Autozone said couldn't do a diagnostic bcs battery was to low. Was forced to buy battery to get diagnostic. Diagnostic said starter failed inspection. Couldn't they have charged the battery before I bought a new one to get a diagnostic? Also do I need to go to a hybrid auto shop to dial in the battery to the car for it to work properly?

Re: 2007 Honda civic hybrid battery replacement after dying after jump starts
I bought the battery at autozone & installed it. Haven't taken it to anyone yet. Was hoping to get some insight on if the 12v battery has to be dialed in professionally on a 07 civiv hybrid.

6 years old? Yeah... it was done. 12V don't last like they used to.
Dialed in?
You take the old 12V out.
You put the new 12V in.
Done.
I prefer to upgrade it to the 51R instead of 151R - more capacity.
If the 12V is not charging, the most common causes are a blown IMA fuse (the small fuse box in the engine compartment), a failed DC-DC converter or a bad hybrid battery.
