I started the car before leaving for work, i let it run a few minutes to dfog the windows. When i took off the steering was tiff and the warning light was on.

I shut it off and restarted, problem went away.

Any ideas?

 

I've had this happen 2 or 3 times in the 92,000 miles driven on my 2007 HCH2. The PS light would come on and I'd lose all power steering so it felt like i was driving in thick mud with a stiff wheel. Normally, it happened within the first mile of driving and i'd find a place to pull off the road safely, turn off the engine (and remove the key so it's all the way off), wait 30 seconds, then start the car again. If the light would have stayed on, I would have brought it to the dealer.
