True, but they managed to do it for the Prius, and it's got a bigger battery! Same general location, too... So if they want to be selling more of these you'd think they could offer a 5 door. But I guess selling them it's the primary objective, as long as they have hybrids then people have a "choice".

If the rear spoiler is any indication, it would seem Honda was just spied taking the 2006 Hybrid out for a drive.

So maybe the antenna is moving to the Back now? Interesting........Wonder how they overcame the battery interference problem?

May not be a hybrid in photo. Hybrids now are made only in Japan so if new ones follow, then any test would be in Japan, not US.

They could have moved the battery too.

Anyway. I'm going to remove the image tag so it points to the site. I believe we should do that since this image is copywritten.

The top of the car looks a lot like the Saturn, however the front and back are considerably less ugly.

New to GreenHybrid - howdy.

The white car on Carconnection and the gray one on the Edmunds sidebar are the same - which I think is the non-hybrid sedan. The Bloomberg article from a month ago said that the hybrid would look distinct from the standard sedan. Which is why I could see the one in the Japanese publication being the hybrid. Note the different taillights.

Howdy Solar Dad, welcome to GH.com....

About the differences Honda plans to differentiate the Hybrid, I would put them in the "minor" category. I don't think Honda has changed it's tune about wanting the Hybrid Civic and the Hybrid Accord to "blend in" with the current model line gas-only versions.

I expect minor differences, nothing major like different taillights - I could be wrong (wont be the last time) but I just think they will keep the differences understated at best......my 2 cents.....
