I actually hope that the 06 HCH makes me desperately regret not waiting a few more months instead of purchasing my 05 so recently. But hey, I had to have a car.

It looks like this will be a Prius 2 : Prius 1 sort of makeover. I'm excited.

I looked closely at the diagrams in both the movie and the photo's and it looks like the HCH will retain the stationary rear seats. I hope i'm wrong...though to tell the truth i've used my fold down seats once in the almost 3 years i've had my car

Just noticed this in the article link below:

"While differences will still exist in Toyota's and Honda's systems, the 2006 Civic Hybrid will be able to operate -- at times -- solely on electric power for the first time. ``Not from a start,'' Boyd said, ``but in a low-speed cruising mode, like going down a boulevard at 30 mph in a fairly steady state.''
That's a pretty awesome EV possibility for me, because I have a nice chunk of my commute in "30 MPH" areas....maybe I can achieve EV mode every morning and afternoon for a while if I upgraded to the 2006?
