2003 HCH A/C system repair/ electrical questions
Hello everyone, I am new here.
My a/c went out last year due to a bad pulley bearing and I finally have some money to fork out to get my a/c running again.
I just have a few quick questions to ask. I already bought the compressor, drier, and expansion valve, but before installing them, I just wanted to know if the a/c compressor or any other components are connected to the high voltage line of the hybrid battery.
I ask this because I don't want to be electrocuted while taking out the old compressor and installing the new one.
And if i do need to disengage the battery from the rest of the system, would it just be simply by switching the switch from on to off behind the rear seats to do this and the 12v battery?
Or are there other steps needed to insure there is no high voltage live in the engine bay.
Thanks in advance
