2000 mile break-in?
so i've noticed a remarkable increase in FE today when driving to work. on my way to work i zero'd my trip meter and averaged 58 mpg. on the way back, i zero'd again and averaged 68 mpg. my highest FE prior to this coming back from work was ~62-63 mpg using P & G. so i checked my odometer and noticed i was at 2009 miles. anyone else notice increased FE after hitting the 2000 mile mark? i'm pretty sure my driving hasn't changed THAT much, but these increased fuel savings are remarkable. on the way to work i didn't even use FAS as i normally do and my FE was up by ~6 mpg.

There definitely is a break in. I remember when I first got my HCH, I struggled hard to get 40 mpg on a trip. Now at 6000 miles my lifetime average is 46.1 and I never have a trip with lower than 50. Sure, you learn how to drive differently - but your mileage will increase as your car breaks in somewhat.
