07 HCH problems
Anyone with a 07 HCH notice that the left rear is 3/4" lower than the right rear. I measured the distance from the ground to the bottom of the left rear fender well and it is 3/4" lower than the right side. You can actually see the difference in the gap between the top of the tire and bottom of the fenderwell on each side. Dealer told me they are allowed 1" tolerance. Anyone experiencing this problem? Dealer b.s.'ing me?

Re: 07 HCH problems
No. It does not appear this dealer is BS'ing you. According to the technical volume documentation the geometric tolerance (with nominal loading) at the rear wheels is 24.9 mm - which is approximately 1 inch.
Like BlueVFRank asked, is that measurement with an empty fuel tank?

Re: 07 HCH problems
It was measured with only 2 gallons left and a full tank, same results.
It has 900miles, 2 1/2wks.
Ground was level, checked with a bubble gauge.
Checked the measurements from the ground to bottom of shock, but they were exactly the same.
Stumped.

Re: 07 HCH problems
Check your tire pressure at all 4 wheels, a low right front could bring up the back left of the car. A low right rear could cause that side of the car to sink.
If you want an accurate picture of what its doing to your car take it some where that has corner weighing capability. This will tell you how much weight is on each wheel. It should be pretty close left to right. If you have a large difference in weight at the left rear wheel than the right rear wheel you will know why one is lower than the other.
The springs are the only things that are controlling how high the car sits off the ground, other than the tires. If you have a discrepancy in the preload one side of the car that would account for a discrepancy. I don't know how much of a difference would be required to create the situation you are having.

Remove the dead body which is located in the left side of your trunk! Sorry... couldn't resist!
Upon quick visual inspection, my '06 is perfectly level in the rear.
