Default Re: 06 stoplight-creep question

Once all of these conditions are met, the car will automatically turn off when the brakes are being applied and the car is going less than 10 mph. This situation is typically encountered only when rolling up to a stop light or stop sign. The Civic Hybrid has a very nice feature that prevents the car from turning off during stop and go driving. If the car comes to a stop for the first time it will turn off. If the car does not get above 10 mph and then stops again, the car will not turn off. The only time this rule is broken is if the car has been stopped for greater than 15 seconds. At that point, it will shut down even in stop and go driving. In practice, the engineers at Honda seem to have gotten this timing down perfectly

they make it sound like in stop and go driving, only the IMA is pushing the car and the engine is shut off.
