Default 06 Regen Surge

Question... is it normal on the 06 HCH for a decel surge due to regen cutting out? Here's my situation... I'm slowing to a light... many or full green bars showing charging... as I approach the stop (guessing at about 5 mph), the bars go away suddenly and the car has a slight "lurch" forward. Nothing terrible, but it's quite noticeable.

I assume regen is cutting out and the sudden decreased load causes the "lurch". Would be better if the gradually reduced the load!

I would say it's normal - at least it happens in my car too. This is one of the things that took me a few weeks to get used to. I don't even notice it now.

The magic number is 7 mph. At that point the IMA is preparing to Auto Stop so the IMA is disengaged. This puts all the stopping requirements on the brakes instead of the brakes and IMA. The IMA should have stopped regen somewhere around 13-15 mph, i'm guessing at that point the speed vs. regen zero out.

I've noticed the "lurch" sometimes but not every time I brake. Still getting used to it.

I notice it most when I've just barely got my foot on the brake (enough to regen, not enough for pad contact) coming up to a country 4-way stop. In the 7-14 mph area (seems to be somewhat temperature dependent), the regen shuts off and suddenly I'm just coasting again. Eventually you get used to it
