retiring my 2005 Accord Hybrid
I am retiring my 2005 Accord Hybrid, it is still mechanically in good condition. The IMA battery was replaced last year and 2 of the catalytic converters were replaced 2-3 years ago.
If anybody is interested in purchasing it (I'm located in central NC) let me know. You just have to offer me more than the dealership will offer me as a trade-in

Re: retiring my 2005 Accord Hybrid
Thanks, Steve.
They actually got back to me and suggested that it may be a software update issue. He said it is usually a problem with Civic models but sometime happens with Accord as well.
Changing the boards is a pretty good idea but I guess at this point I am not sure if I want to risk more
I am a physician and even this much is already way beyond my area of expertise
I am taking it to the dealership tomorrow morning to do take care of it. I was afraid they may not like to work on a third party battery issue but it was not a problem.

Re: retiring my 2005 Accord Hybrid
I just traded in my 2005 HAH on 4/28. I had the car since Aug 2005 and it was a reliable machine that carried me from home to work and back every work day.
261,000 miles on it. I never changed out the hybrid batteries or the catalytic converter. This was a very good car and I have no regrets on purchasing this vehicle. Unfortunately, my new auto is a CR-V that did not have a hybrid engine option (I would have selected the hybrid option since I had a very positive experience). Having a bad back now made me need a taller vehicle to make it easier to get in and out of plus when sitting, the legs are near a 90 degree angle to the hips. Plus the past two winters were too much fun driving in. Good Luck to all!
