Default Recurring problem on 2017 Hybrid

After driving for 1,000 miles, 2017 hybrid stalled at an intersection. The gas engine wouldn't start but the car was drivable on electric motor to dealer where it has sat for a week. Battery module, a "known Honda defect", was replaced. Not fixed. Honda central believes the battery pack is defective and shipping that to dealer, from California to dealer on east coast by land freight. Expected on Wednesday of this week.

Did some research and found my exact experience in a 2017 hybrid also led to a recall of the 2014-15 Honda Hybrids. The 2014-15 recall is described as a software fix because "electrical interference may cause the hybrid system to switch into fail-safe mode disabling the gasoline engine.. limiting [speed and operating until batter pack discharged]. I gave the NHTSA Action number memo to the dealer.

Feels like a software problem to me.
