Default PC Card slot in HAH

Does anyone know what the purpose of the PC Card slot is in the 2005 HAH? Is this for upgrades to the nav. system or what?

Thanks,
Wes

I did some looking around and it appears that it's for playing MP3s stored on a CF card - is this correct?

I don't believe that was it's original intent. But there are a few threads floating around out there that showed some people using it as such.

Bill:
The PC slot can be used to store music from your PC and take it to the car. Look for the Aux button on the right side of the MFD.

Can you please provide a litte more detail? What is the MFD? And what happens when you press the AUX button, etc.?

Thanks,
Wes

My best guess would be Multi Function Display.

Charles, do you have the Nav?

MFD is Multi-function Display. We do have the nav system.

Chuck,

Do you also have XM? I have XM, and have been unable to get the card reader to even recognize when a card is present in the holder.

Wes:
First let me correct myself, the AUX button is on the left side of the MFD, not the right side. If you go to this site, (http://reviews.cnet.com/2007_Honda_A...7-6546742.html) it will describe the operation of the PC card slot 2 minutes and 37 seconds into the video. It's kind of strange, because page 102 of the Navigation System manual shows the slot, but says it's not for playing audio files. The video is for the 2007 model, so perhaps it only works on the 2007 models and they haven't updated the manual. I have not personally tried it yet, but the C/net video clearly says it plays MP3 files (for example). The process is described by the Executive Editor, so hopefully it's accurate.
