Glitch with starting and autostop
For future reference...
Y'know how your HAH starts instantly when you flick the ignition key? Yesterday my 2005 HAH didn't. On the third try I held the key for several seconds and it started OK. Strange.
Then the engine light came on and the engine didn't shut off when I came to a stop (even though the engine was warmed up and there were plenty of battery bars). No other symptoms.
The dealer found that it had stored DTC P15A5: "Motor current sensor circuit malfunction: during engine starting the IMA motor control software incorrectly interprets the position of the IMA motor rotor." They referred to Honda service bulletin 06-021 and updated the IMA motor control software - see http://www.driveaccord.net/forums/at...5&d=1211125005
Problem solved. It had also stored two other DTC's:

Problem solved. It had also stored two other DTC's:
- P0AC4 (generic IMA system malfunction code)
- P0462 ("fuel level sensor circuit low voltage: when the 12 volt battery voltage is low"). There were no symptoms related to this DCT and the battery voltage wasn't low, but they referred to Honda service bulletin 05-057 (attached) and updated the PCM software.
