Man oh man did it feel good to go from a 6 MPG rental truck for 500 miles back to my HAH that got 41 MPG on the return trip!

Also, my former 5 mile commute is now 260 miles, each way. I was rather enjoying filling up only once every 6-8 weeks...

 

Hey bar10dah, sounds like you've left Phoenix? Seems like awhile ago you were looking at getting an airplane and selling your HAH? You might really want an airplane now for that commute - yikes!

 

I've been back and forth on selling the HAH. It's such a great car! But, I know I can only really afford one or the other right now. Now that I'm commuting between Vegas and Phoenix, I think I'll be keeping the HAH. 260 miles in less than 8 gallons AND power when I need/want it... I just can't seem to give this car up. I'm still in the market for a plane. But, instead of getting the C172 I've been wanting, looks like I'll have to get a C152. At least, for now. In the future, I'm sure I'll upgrade. And when I finally do get that plane, I'll probably be commuting in it a few times per month. It'll cost more that way, but it's surely a more fun way to go!
