IMA light is back on. Pulled some blink codes tonight: 32, 57, 85. While reading the codes, I noticed a code on the upper dash, which I haven't seen before:

Oh well... wishful thinking.

I don't have the blink codes for your year. For the 06-11 models IMA blinks:

P0A78 (32) MCM Internal Circuit Malfunction
P1440 (57) MCM Circuit Malfunction
P15A5 (85) Motor Current Sensor Circuit Malfunction

B2999 A problem in the A/C compressor delivery valve.

Did you have any CEL blinks?

Stealership says it's the power inverter, which has a factory warranty of 15 years, and will arrive tmw at the earliest. Fingers crossed that they get it right.

The ONE time I like the dealership... when they have to do warranty work.

Good luck!

Now that I have a fancy new microprocessor battery charger/tender, would it be beneficial to periodically trickle charge the 12 volt battery, and if so, how often?

Anything helps. Car charging systems are pretty marginal.

If you know you're going to have the car sitting for more than a few days, put it on a float charge.

Every 2-4 weeks, let it sit on the charger overnight for ~12 hours.

I got my car back Saturday. It seems to be back to normal. The stealership doesn't want to reimburse me the $180 I had to pay them for the two codes they pulled initially, but per the warranty booklet, emissions system-related parts, labor and diagnosis are covered by a 15/150 warranty, and the IMA is part of that system. I'm going to escalate it.
As I was looking through the warranty booklet, I learned that a replacement battery purchased from Honda is covered by a 100 month warranty. That's >8 years! I did not know that.

Glad the car is sorted. Good luck with Honda.

I contacted the gen'l mgr with the warranty manual in hand, and he agreed to refund the diagnosis fee. Sometimes it pays to be squeaky!
