Hi,
I live in the somewhat colder northern. tropics of Winnipeg, Canada. I've already got a block heater and have blocked the grill, but the a/s still does not engage for quite some time in spite of the aforementioned.
I emailed the dealership and this is the response I received:

"Hi, I have checked with our parts department and there is no winter
thermostat available for your vehicle through Honda. If you wanted to try an
aftermarket one you could but if an aftermarket part causes issues with the
vehicle it could void warranty on that specific item. Please let me know if
there is anything else that I can help you out with. Thank You, Colleen."

The question is: has anybody installed an after market winter thermostat in their hybrid with smooth goings? I have a 2007 Civic Hybrid. Thanks.

 

I have not heard of any , but there is a guy in your neck of the woods by the name of msantos who could probably help you. He owns two HCH11. You might find him at cleanMPG forums. H
