What's wrong with my car ????
Every since the 10,000 mile threshold on my HCH II, I've noticed two things:
1. When accelerating from a stop, mostly linearly (as in smoothly), the car buckles, hesitates, shutters, misfires, whatever you may call it. Its REALLY bad when the battery is down to 3 bars.
2. And getting worse recently, the car also bucks and seems to resist more when coming to a stop. Almost as though the car didn't want to drop gears and was stuck braking in a higher ratio.
DOES ANYONE ELSE have this problem ????

I've been noticing the same thing. I just started using the AC, so I wonder if it has something to do with the AC running?
It's a 4 cyl car. AC is always tough on a 4 cyl.

Just a thought. If you've hit 10,000 miles I am assuming that you've had the car serviced. Could the service dept possibly screwed something up in the car?

sounds like its the EGR valve problem everyone seems to be having from other threads/posts. Here is a link to one of the threads. There is a honda service bulletin that address the problem but not all dealerships are that saavy so you should bring the bulletin number with you when you take the car back.

I have noticed that it does tremble when I get on the freeway (its an uphill climb), but thats coincidentally when I roll the windows up and start the A/C. I just got the oil changed today, and I'm running Mobil 1 Full Synthetic, 0W-20. Haven't had it do it once today, but I only drove it about 3 miles from the shop to work. So I'll have to see when I get the A/C going. Even still, for the car to do that when the A/C is on is just unacceptable....I've owned nothing BUT 4-cylinder cars save for my Chevelle, and NEVER experienced that. Besides, I keep them on the lowest or second to lowest setting.

After some more extensive testing, I've narrowed it down to DEFINITELY being the A/C system. I know this is the culprit because when accelerating, if I turn the A/C on and off, I can feel the car bucking and losing power, then returning to normal when I turn it off. So now I don't know what to do.
