I got a 2008 HCHII with nav, fog lights, bra, blue intero lights, rear cup holders and tax/title for 27,565. it was delivered in late Aug. best city driving so far is 41 mpg per tank.

We bought our HCH in December last year, and paid $24,000 out the door with nav system.
The Prius has an advantage in city driving, especially stop-and-go, but the HCH has a big advantage in winter, where the Prius engine has to run more for heat and keeping the cat converter up to temperature. The HCH also has an advantage at highway speeds, since it will shut down the engine at any speed, whereas the Prius must run the engine above 35 MPH to keep from overspinning one of the motors.
