Default Warranty question

I was just thinking, that is usually a very dangerous thing and I think this time is may just be .

In January 2009 we here in Washington State go to the same emission standards as CA. So what I am wondering, is does our battery/emission warranty stay the same or change to the CA. standards?

I suspect it stays the same as what was in effect at the time of purchase but, I am thinking maybe not because it has to do with emissions. What do you all think....Maybe I will write Honda after the first of the year and ask.

My bet would be that it stays the same for cars already purchased.

I think it would switch over to the same warranty specifications as for CA.
I know when CT went with the CA regulations, it changed our Honda warranty to match that of CA:

But the best thing to do would be to contact Honda so you know the answer for sure.

Is your car AT-PZEV?

All HCH-II's (2006+ models) are AT-PZEV ... and Tier-2/Bin-2 rated everywhere. Only the warranty coverage changes depending on State or Region.

So I think he will probably qualify for the CA warranty standards when the law changes in his state.

(I know my particular '04 is only ULEV and misses out on the extended warranty time, but certain models sold in CA and a few other states that year were AT-PZEV and have the longer warranty.)
