i was only going 30mph. There are motor mounts that are supposed to break to drop the motor and allow it to move back. Instead of braking the motor mounts it snapped on the block. The whole block would have needed to be replaced. $12.586 in damages. It doesn't even look all that bad. I've moved away from the hybrid now. My sister got my an INCREDIBLE deal on a Kia (she works for Kia Motors of America) that I couldn't turn down. I'm down to 25pmg average, but I have more room. I'm going to wait for the next generation insight to go back. This makes me sad, but it is what it is.

 

Ah, that sucks! Hope you didn't lose your HOV stickers? That's one of my big fears, although I believe you can transfer them to a new vehicle if you prove yours was totaled.

You didn't pull the master cylinder (https://www.greenhybrid.com/discuss/...tml#post207098) off of it by chance?

Kind of disconcerting to hear that the block breaks instead of the motor mounts.
