It is a separate model, not the HCHIII. Not a fan of the styling from what I can see...

 

This isn't the spy shots for the new HCHIII. It's the pics for the new dedicated hybrid line from Honda. It should kinda resemble the FCX Clarity they just released.

Boy that's ugly...Almost exactly as ugly as a Prius.

 

Lets call them road roaches :-(. Funny, I love the FCX, this, not so much.

 

It looks exactly like a Prius to me! Why would Honda want to copy Toyota???

 

Maybe they think it will improved sales.
The Prius is ugly, IMHO, but they've sold a zillion of them.

 

Why do you think half of the expected sales will go to USA? We're talking about 100 thousand per year, so Americans can make their statements.

 

It's the most efficient aerodynamic shape. A rain drop type shape is the most efficient natural shape, then cut off the pointy tip to reduce air friction (minimally effecting the aerodynamics otherwise), and you get even more efficiency - that's the basis of the Prius/new Honda design.

They're also probably trying to market it to the Eco-Bling "Look at me, everyone, I'm driving a HYBRID!" market that is currently only served by the Prius.
