Does anyone else's rear defroster never turn off on its own like the book says after 15 mins it should. Took it to the dealer and they said it was a mis-print in the manual and that it does not turn off automatically. Never heard of this before, every car I have had turned off.

 

Mine also stays on until I tell it to turn off. Not much of an issue when there's a half-inch of ice caked on

 

Mine doesn't turn off automatically. Maybe the dealer was right for once?

 

Same here. On until I turn it off. It is annoying as all other cars usually stay on 15 minutes or so.

 

my HCH I seems to always been on. not sure how to turn it off as the defrost button is not lit.

 

mine turns off after 25 minutes. I read this and timed it. 2006 HCHII

 

Mine even stays on if I turn the car off and back on.
