I decided to have a little fun with the FCD on a recent drive.

That picture was taken after resetting Trip B at altitude before driving back into town. But that wasn't really 150mph based on the metric calculation--more like 2028.6mpg if my translation is correct.

In fact, the 150mpg lasted even longer before it slowly started to decline.

When I pulled into the driveway, I had this on the FCD:

Of course, I didn't get that kind of mileage starting from my house. I had to drive up to Woodland Park which was where I reset, so here is the mileage before resetting.

All together, the 46.7mpg and the 75.3mpg netted me 57mpg for the 82.4mi! I am now quite certian that the more hills on the drive, the better the overall MPG can be!

Like yourself, I live in the mountain country, but I find I can get much better FE in the flat lands. My average FE is allways higher in hill country. I normally keep close to the speed limits. H

The trip up was on a 4 lane divided highway so I wasn't overly concerned about my speed. It also involved a good bit of city (foothill) driving on both sides of the trip too which was lower speed.
I am looking forward to driving the HCH on a truely flat road someday...
