You notice how the oil co's are pulling back on prices after the long weekend? It's the classic zig zag, stair stepping they do with prices. They crank it up and then pull back a bit so everyone is slightly releaved and next thing you know it's up higher then ever before. Basstads!

 

First look at the owner of the local gas station. If the price swings a lot during a holiday weekend, that is where the blame is. Big oil is an easy target but that is not the source of short term price gouging.
