Yesterday I ordered a new 08 HCH II in a magnetic pearl color. The dealer has none in stock. None of the other dealers were willing to let theirs go. So, there is one on its way from Japan and I spoke for that one. I think it will be here by the end of the month or begining of next month. I previously had a 2005 so I am looking forward to the new model. Gas prices hit $3.99 at the local station.

 

I'm in the exact same situation! The next few weeks are killing me!!

Congratulations on a most excellent choice of color. While my HCH is silver, my wife's is a Mag Pearl and it looks pretty good - especially when freshly waxed and under the sun light.

hmm, what is going to happen to your '05? do you have the 5 speed in it?

 

i too like the color of the magnetic pearl, but i didn't think the blue interior went with the exterior very well, but that is just me. i ended up going with the galaxy gray with the tan, "ivory", interior and i am very happy. got the fabric scotchgaurded though, didn't want to risk it with a tan fabric interior, i'm sure the blue is a little more real-life friendly in that sense.

 

I just picked up an 08 w/Nav Friday. I wanted the Pearl but none in stock so I when with the Silver with Blue interior. I think the Blue will stay cleaner longer. I'd really like leather bt it's not offered in the HCH, I may still have it added.

 

I just talked with my salesman John Wrubel at Walker Honda in Alexandria, Louisiana and my car has been moved up from the end of the month to between the 19th and the 23rd.

 

Mattie, can I ask what you ended up paying for yours?

 

I think it was around list price but I am not sure. I have a down payment put down on the car but I haven't signed the final paper work. I'll let you know when I see the paper work. I also have a trade in so that has to be taken into account.

 

Ah.. ok. Yeah my internet quote jumped from 23,700 to them telling me (even after several counter offers and my telling them I was going to go elsewhere) that they couldn't do it for less than 24,500. Considering other dealers have jumped to a couple thousand more than that off the lot, I took that deal.
