This is a question for Canadian HCH owners (or from countries were metric units are used).

I had a few oil changes in my two HCHs, the A1 service doesn't include an oil filter change, only oil. The dealer keeps charging me for the cost of 4 litres, but the specs of the car indicate that the car can only hold 3 litres of oil (3.2 litres if the filter is changed).

Are you paying for 3 or 4 litres of oil ???

 

I do not live in Canada, nor have I gotten my oil changed yet, but I would guess that the dealer rounds up, not down. It is possible that your dealer is not expecting you to know that your car only takes 3 liters and is over-charging you. If I were you, I would confront them about it or take it to a different mechanic and see what they say. I do not trust dealers as they have tried to rip me off and have ripped off my friends and family. Now, I always double check with an honest mechanic down the street from me.

 

My dog just had a litter of puppies, and we did not have to change her oil.

But my HCHII had its oil changed and it took 3.2 LITERS of oil with the filter.

 

You're quite right it is not a litter, the unit of volume in the metric system is a "litre".
