Default MP3 Pop

I have finally joined the "ipod generation"and purchased an MP3 player so that I may plug it directly into the port on my HCHII. I used it this morning on my commute and noticed an annoying problem. After every song, there is a very loud electrical POP before the next song starts. I listened to the MP3 player with headphones and there is not the same problem, so I think the problem is with the Civic's sound system. Has anybody else experienced this problem? Even better, has anybody solved it?

Thanks,
Shawn

My son has a Dell mp3 player (the 30 GB hard drive based unit that they stopped selling). He uses it im my car and have not noticed the popping problem. The sound seems to be decent.

I have been using my i-pod, and it is crystal clear, no pop at all. You might have a short in some connection. Try another input wire. Is it new? I got one from Radio Shack for like $3.

Sorry I can't help more. Good luck!

Most likely the problem is in either the wire or your iPod. As other have said, they've not had any problems, and whenever I make the CBus-CTown (Columbus / Cleveland for all you non-Ohioans) trip, I've actually got my laptop plugged into that port.

Shawn, that is your ipod. Mine has done the same. Do a hard reset on the ipod. Turn on & off 2 times. Then turn the ipod on by pressing and holding the menu and middle select button @ the same time. This should fix the problem.
