Default I finally did it!

I got 401.8 miles on my tank of gas!

I filled 10.477 gallons of gas in my tank today so that comes out to roughly 38 mpg.

This has been my best mileage with a tank of gas since I got my car in September of '07.

* Please note that I do not over inflate my tires. I use the recommended tire pressure that is on the side of the door jam. My communte is short (15 miles) non-hwy miles. Top speed during the communte is 35 mph due to several factors including school zone, traffic lights, and general flow of traffic. I do use Pulse and Glide where I can safely perform such action. I have kept the spare tire in my trunk, never know when I might need it.

I just had my car aligned and the tires rotated and the mechanic set the pressure back to the factory specs. I'm getting about your mpgs now but I've noticed significantly better traction in the recent heavy snows.

Congratulations! It must have been your washer fluid: It's lighter when it's frozen.

Yes, congrats, and keep it up. Try 36 lbs. You will not notice any change in handling, but the FE may go up a notch. H

Thanks for catching that one Spinner....

It is funny how the washer fluid freezes, most of the off the shelf stuff safe guard against freezing to below a certain temp....

WTF??

Sorry, I hate to use such language but give me a break. If I wanted to coast my vehicle I would be riding a bike. Let me guess, you also smoke weed on the side because its an earthy product.

41/51 posted on the sticker has nothing to do with coasting. Some people here have also used their AC and still getting over 40mpg. I am not asking alot from this car, the tax break is good but I would be getting the same mileage from a normal Civic with normal tires.

I don't care about Hypermilling... or whatever, I am talking about driving the car like a normal car. This is a car after all. Like I said in my first post, I am not flooring it at the green light. I am driving at normal street speeds in the city and about 60/65 on the HWY. This car should get the posted sticker mileage.

Ready to eat your words?

@ noflash,
No not yet

I have been really feathering (if that is a word) the gas pedal trying to keep the mpg @ 100 and 1 bar on the assist...

Right now my mpg meter is reading 45.6 hopefully I can keep it up.

(Now if I can just get my full $2100.00 tax credit back)
