HOV/Carpool lane

Does any/every other state have special license plates for the hch that allows them to drive in the carpool lane with only one person or is this just AZ?

Depends on the state. Some like CA have stickers, others don't let you do it at all.

You should watch this topic for the input from a larger audience.

There are some Interstates that grant a selection of hybrid vehicles in their HOV lanes, but you may have to register beforehand and get a sticker.

you can get a special plate in utah, but you have to pay an annual fee of $78 or so... also allows you to park at the downtown meters for free.

Here in Texas, hybrids don't get any special consideration for HOV lanes or anything else. It's almost like the state doesn't want people to burn less oil.

Go figure.

Nothing that I'm aware of in Delaware (esp new castle county - hey we only have 3!) other than the pleasure of watching the gas guzzler fly by me only to be next to me at the red light :-).....
