The recall is for an IMA hardware module, I don't believe that there was any software involved.

I had the IMA software done last year, and everything has been fine, overall mileage has been up about 2 MPG since the SW update.

Here is a more detailed explanation of the proceedure:

I have had all the software updates done, including the last one to which there is much complaining about, it IS an improvement for me, battery works better, more than 2 autostops and they start much sooner on my drives, mileage is about the same or maybe slightly better.
I keep the car up to date, the same as I keep my computer up to date, if there is an update I get it ASAP...
that said, it no longer says anything about the recall on the "my Honda" site, odd, it has a couple of Oddsey updates (I don't have one) & a 2011 Civic fuel pump issue...I guess I will have to call the dealer.

the last 4 cars between my fiance and I have been a honda and thanks to the 2006 HONDA CIVIC HYBRID I will never buy a HONDA again. The expenses and the headaches outweigh the savings and im an economical driver at 46mpgs.

Called American Honda, they said my 2007 is not on the recall list?

Just got mine done today. It appears that the mileage jumped on the way back from the dealer or it could be simply due to the fully charged battery. We shall see....
