HCH II Test Drive
Hello. This is my first post.
I test drove an 08 HCH II I am interested in buying today. It has 80k kilometres on it and is apparently on its second IMA battery pack. The battery pack and functioning of the IMA system is what I am particularly concerned about in this model.
1. The 12V battery was dead which prevented the car starting. Is this normal?
2. I noticed that sometimes the assist function took more throttle than I expected to kick in. I expected the assist bars to show on the lightest throttle positions. It took a bit of throttle to get it to assist. Is that normal?
3. Likewise, it sometimes took more breaking to get the charge function to work than I would expect. Is that normal?
