Does anyone happen to have a photo of a HCH II cylinder head, specifically from the underside. I was wondering if it was a good candidate for Singh grooves since it's a 2-valve vs 4-valve setup.

Good question.

Many of us have diagrams and pictures from the Service manuals and DVD's but I don't recall seeing any that shows the level of detail you seek.

Besides, not many HCH-II's have gone for a tune-up job yet ... so it may be too early to find anyone who might have had a chance to snap a few good pictures.


About the grooving and other similar mods (my personal opinion):

As it stands the 1.3L engine paired with the Gen4 IMA is an exquisite work of engineering art and unless the same Honda engineering group acknowledged the Singh grooving as a helpful mod, I would shy away from considering it. Perhaps I would try it on another vehicle not designed for fuel efficiency as the theoretical gains would be more noticeable?
