I can't advise you. Without tap voltages, it's 50/50. Since they don't clearly indicate a cell failure, it's better than 50%. That's all I can say.

The only danger is the reduced power and the eventual deterioration of the battery to the point that the car will no longer charge the 12V.

is tap voltage a measure directly from the subpack?

 

You just measured the 11 tap voltages - where the BCM "taps" the pack to monitor subpack voltages.

The check engine light and the ima went off for two days now. Wonder what that means? Recals are still very frequent.

Nothing has changed. Your battery has failed. You are just seeing differing responses to that failure. It could be temperature related, a change in driving conditions/style, etc.


The fact that you're having frequent recals and likely seeing reduced mileage are confirmation.


The car is continuing to behave in a manner consistent with a major system failure. If your increasing hatred of the car is because you are expecting it to "heal" or fix itself, I can promise you, it's only going to get worse.


Eventually, 12V charging will become unreliable - it might be a day, or it might be a year.


spare yourself the frustration:


1) sell it
2) scrap it
3) fix it


Continuing to ignore it is just going to keep a frustrating condition in your life.
