Fender repair - bleg and words of caution

Re: Fender repair - bleg and words of caution
I also have a fender problem. They quoted me ~$120 to fix the fender or $800 to replace and paint it.
Now my question is, doesn't the new piece of plastic, the fender (this part is all plastic, at least where the big dent is), come in the correct color to start? Because I really don't feel it needs to be painted to match the rest of the car. If its close, that should be fine since its not worth ~$400 dollars of paint and labor to me. This is the lowest part of the fender so if the metallic is a little off, I don't think I would notice.
Its Galaxy Grey 2006 HCH 2.

New parts are not painted, but you may be able to find parts at the auto wreckers with no damage in the correct color. The front bumper is easy to replace. H

They do not come painted, but should not cost $800 to replace. I would try to get some other quotes, or find one at a junk yard and do it yourself (it's not that hard to replace; just to find the right model and color that's not damaged)
