Electric windows problem
Last weekend the temperature rose to 20-something degrees Centigrade (warm day for Aberdeen, Scotland) and was like an oven when my wife and I got into the car. We had driven to the beach and left the car with the drivers side facing the sun. When I let the windows down - no problem. When I went to raise them again about 20 minutes later, the drivers' side got near to the top, stopped and came down again. The passenger side was okay and we thought the rubbers on the drivers side had swollen with the heat.
We decided after getting the windo to close on around the tenth attempt, to leave it closed and try it again the next day. All seemed well when I tried it first but, after driving for a short while (15 to 20 minutes) the problem re-appeared and after about six attempts it closed. We decided to leave it closed and let the dealer handle it. We have been driving around using the passenger window to let air in, etc but, today it refused to close properly too - leaving a very small gap. We did manage to get it closed all the way later on.
Has anyone else experienced this (apart from the guy that tinted the windows).
Cheers...
