I haven't bought the fog lights for my HCH II yet, but they look identical to our Si and '01 accord foglight lens assemblies.

After breaking three $90 lenses on the accord within 2 years, I just left them broken for a while. I drive in the carpool lanes in LA which seem to have more debris in them, which probably makes me more likely to break them.

I then found a discussion on a Acura RSX forum (the RSX also has the same fragile lenses), and one DIY solution is to replace the broken glass lenses with polycarbonate sheet plastic. I went ahead and did this and am pretty satisfied with it. The materials only cost a few bucks at home depot. I'll try to find the link to this and will post it later.

I've had the polycarbonate lenses for about a year now. They are still very clear, but you can see some chips on them. I also need to recaulk one of them, as there is now some moisture inside.

Thanks! Any info on the poly would be appreciated, especially if it is available at HD or some other local store. How did you cut it to size? I believe the lens are convex, how do they fit? Also what kind of caulk did you use? Probably some kind of silicone?

found the link:
http://forums.clubrsx.com/showthread...ight=fog+lexan

The instructions includes info on the polycarbonate and sealant. I used a dremel tool instead of the saw & grinder. I made four lenses at the same time, and still have 3/4 of the small sheet left.

The lexan/polycarbonate material is a little flexible, and the lens frame will bend the polycarbonate sheet and hold it against the curved housing. Hopefully the HCH-II foglight design is identical.
