Default Best drive to work ever

Well, so far. I got to follow a cement truck. Wooohooo! What a great excuse to never go over 2k rpm in rush hour traffic.

Very little drafting, but I got 56.7 MPG on my drive into work this morning, and 56.0 on the way home. 33 miles, each way. This is better than my typical near-50 MPG on these commutes.
My best commute (one-way) was 59.7 MPG. I have a pic still, in my camera phone ,of this trip.

Even better is avoiding the freeway entirely, and having surface roads with very few (or no) stops along the way. My commute is 14.5 miles, and in the summer, I'll get low-to-mid 60's on the way there, and low 70's on the way home. The "Someday I'll beat Kenny" pic you see below is my all-time record for a trip home. In the winter... well, I'm happy just to see mid-40's either way.

Following a cement truck is how I got 68.1 mpg on my way into work once (20 mile commute). He was on my commute route almost the entire way. I'm too afraid of pissing people off with my slow driving, but with that cement truck, it looked like I was "stuck" behind it, and thus could escape everyone's wrath.

Normally I get 60 mpg, but that's only with recent increased ballsiness in how slow I drive. Before my recent rise in courage, I was only getting around 55 mpg into work.

I do not have knowledge of your driving conditions, but for what it's worth, while driving in the city I never exceed 2000 RPM except when climbing hills. Most times, 1500 RPM is a moderate-to-brisk acceleration, and 1000-1100 RPM is for cruising on a flat road. My drive is at the speed limit, and rarely will other drivers make their poor attitude my problem.
