Battery Won't Charge

I search the threads and saw someone with a similar issue last August but there was little discussion about.
My issue is that my battery does not charge like it use to. The SOC seems to stay about mid-way even though I go a good distance down a slop or hill and let it regenerate.
I brought the car last May, and have drove it the same distance, the same route and the same way since I got it. It has just been over the last few months that I noticed this. I Hypermile, but focus on keeping a high SOC along with a high MPG. Certain parts of my route where I could regenerate 2 full bars do hardly anything for me now.
I took it to the dealer and they said nothing was wrong with it and updated the PCM but could not explain what the problem was. My car has 19k on it. Has anyone else experienced this. It is just the natural degradation of the battery that will happen over time.

Can't speak for your car personally, but I'm also at the 19k point, and have noticed that...
- On my daily commute, where a lot of hypermile techniques work, I average 60-65mpg, and pretty much live at 5 battery pips, with occasional forced regen. I vaguely recall someone saying this is pretty common for high-mpg drivers
- When I drive up to Cleveland, by the time I exit the freeway, I always see a full 8 pips, and sometimes coming down the ramp regen is disabled, forcing me to use actual brake pad.
Your database info is pretty thin, but if you're still getting 52mpg lifetime, I suspect it's because you're using hypermile techniques, and your low SOC is just a reflection of that.
