Anyone Been Rear-Ended?

Re: Anyone Been Rear-Ended?
I've got a fuller undertanding of the door alignment now, and believe I could do this myself, get it near perfect. I'm inclined to just leave it a week or two though: let everything "settle".
Anyway, I totally agree about the car being different, post-accident. And even if the repair job is done to perfection, your perception of the car is altered. I know for me it felt really strange the first drive when we got it back. After a month of loaners it seemed a strange car, not the same. Got used to it though

Re: Anyone Been Rear-Ended?
Your thread caught my eye. The day before your accident, I got rear-ended while waiting at an intersection to turn left. The other driver said he looked away for a second and didn't see me stopped ahead of him... Anyway, neither me or my passenger was hurt, although we were stunned for a minute. No apparent lasting effects. The car has a damaged bumper cover and the trunk lid takes an effort to latch now. Parts have been ordered and the repairs will begin in the next week.
Good luck with your car-it sounds like you took quite a hit, glad you're ok.
