accord wheel on hybrid
SI 4 door uses 17" wheels and it has more brake than on the HCHII. I would think that it would fit just fine. The 5 bolt lug pattern is the same.
As an aside, when I sold the 15" OEM wheels off of my HCHII, the guy that bought them was going to put them on an Accord. Go figure.

well i have an 08 with tpms and i found 06 si locally and wondering if the tpms thing going to be a problem. sorry for so many questions but i don't know much about these things. thanks
If you can move the TPMS wheel sensors over to the new rims, there should not be an issue, you should check fitment before you move the sensors.
See if you can try a wheel out on the front of the car, make sure that you can turn the steering wheel lock to lock without the tire rubbing in the wheel well or (less likely) rubbing on the brake assembly.

cool, thanks
I'll try it out before i buy.
Also another question, i saw ur thread on putting in the hid, when i try it i had a hard time removing the front wheel liner (the ones under the front bumper). I used a flat head, it was really to remove the tack around the wheel but i can't seem get the others at the front.
Any suggestion? i'm going to try to see if i can find the tool u described on the thread. Any suggestion on where i can find it?

okay, just check the SI wheel and it won't fit. It doesn't rub against the well but it rubs the thing that holds the break pads.
I was so excited.
Civic SI rims will NOT fit on a hybrid.

I think I read somewhere that there are problems or certain procedures to be done if you change the tire on a car with TPMS.
I read in "The Car That Could" (it outlines the history of the EV1, but it was published before they were crushed, so it was only about its development) It says that TPMS works by reading the rotations per mile. If the tire pressure is lower, the rotations per mile will be different because a deflated tire has a different size than a properly inflated tire. Because the size is different, the rotations per mile will be different, and thus, is how TPMS works.
From knowing this, I am assuming that if you change the tire size, it will have the same effect. However, maybe TPMS works differently these days. (The EV1 was developed way back in the 90s)
