First you need to have an Advance Auto Parts store to pickup the battery - they won't ship batteries.

Second, You can use coupon code D123 at checkout to get $30 off $100 (or $20 off $50, or $10 off $30).

Sorry to dredge up an old thread, but did you order a battery cover and plastic base for a regular civic? Or did you just remove the too-small cover and base and just use the mounting bracket?

I assume the cover reduces engine heat to the battery.

The size 51R battery will work fine without the plastic base and external side cover. I don't think the difference in heat exposure should be an issue since the battery is located away from the hottest parts of the engine.


The 51R is very popular so easy to find and has much greater capacity than the much smaller OEM size 151R.


As my much earlier posts mentioned, this has been a very common solution for other HCHII owners.
