$189 for a b1 service???
that's how much my local dealer, fuller honda in chula vista, wants. isn't this service just an oil change and some inspections? what are you guys paying for this service?

I stopped going to the dealer when they wanted $350 for the 30K service.
Other than an oil change, it included air filter changes. So I did them myself.
Geesh.

I pay $30 for 4 qts. of Mobil 1 0-20, and an oil filter. that is it and about an hour of my time to change the oil and rotate the tires.
It is so simple to do.

I think I paid $65 for the B1 at about 16K miles - although the dealer's service advisor didn't really seem to understand the B1 designation and had to look up "what needs to be done then". I might have only got the oil change and tire rotation not the checks for that price....

That is all a B1 service is!
That oil filter is really hard to get off that first time around LOL the normal filter wrenches I had wouldn't cut it so i had to buy the civic specific one. No big deal though... took me about 45 minutes to rotate tires and change the oil on my old HCH2... totalled before I made it to the second oil change. Kinda looking forward to the first one on HCH2 #2 which at this pace will be after owning it for a month.
Matt: I live in SD 2. Do you live in the city? I bought my HCH in riverside, so I do not have a local dealer yet. Where do you go? Is it a good dealership?
IB. i had my first service at a dealership close to home, fuller honda, but at $189 for b1, i'm researching other options.
