Just did it yesterday at my local honda dealer - around 23,000 miles. Ended up being around $150. Looks like a lot of numbers, but it basically only was Oil, Air cleaner, tire rotation and transmission fluid change.

Just don't let them push you towards the Honda "standard" service as they always try to do. Make them sell you the services a la carte based on what the trip computer says. Seems like this always takes a negotiation. Not sure why HONDA technicians are so resistant to actually following the maintenance minder that was designed by HONDA!

Anyway, I still don't like paying the high cost of my local honda dealer or the hassle of arguing with them, so I now plan on performing most maintenance myself in the future. Sounds like others here have had good luck with this. I figure it would have saved me at least $100 on that service.

Well I actually only need the oil changed, the tires rotated, and tranny fluid changed. I have the K&N oil filter. I called Honda right now and they said 93.90 covers what I need. Pretty good. They had a special on the tranny service. Yay me !!!!

A= Replace Engine Oil/Filter
1= Rotate Tires
2= Replace Engine Air Cleaner Element, Replace Cabin Air Filter
3= Replace CVT Transmission Fluid

I saw in a Honda S/B that the 2006 Civic is equipped with an ATF life monitor, so I guess that applies to the Hybrid as well. Normally, in other Honda/Acura models equipped with the Maintenance Minder system, but not an actual ATF life monitor, an ATF service isn't requested until at least 40k miles (Odyssey) and 60k miles (TL).

$100 sounds low for all of those services. The Oil Change would run you $50 alone, tire rotation would run you another $20-$30, transmission service would run you $60-70, and cabin air filter would run you $75-$100. Together, you're looking at the $200 range...

Yet another reason why I don't live in California!

Still, less than $100 is too good to be true. My quick estimate gives me, in parts alone:

Oil- $6*4=$24
Oil Filter- $6
Cabin Air Filter- $30
ATF, new CVT type- $10*3

That's $90 in parts alone...

I actually ended up paying about $140 when all said and done. Apparently the lady who quoted me told me the price of normal tranny fluid. So all together it was 140.

I just got mine back from this service and paid between $105 and $135 (in another post I noted that the shop listed an item for $19.50 of "Service Crown Vic tank" so they might have entered the wrong item from their database or they added an item that will get credited back to me on the next visit). Anyway, it was $20 for the Cabin Air Filter and though not visually too bad it was 27k miles old and cheap enough and just coming out of winter it will let me run all summer on a fresh filter; $21.10 for the oil change; $49.95 for the trannt fluid change, and $10 to install the stock tires/wheels (and remove the winter tires/wheels), and $19.50 for the Crown Vic tank (or maybe the mouting of tires was $20 and a normal air filter was $10). Anyway, $133 for this service is right in the ballpark if not on the economical end. Awesome.

Flash, sounds like you got a really good deal. Stick with that dealer if they do good work, as their pricing is very good IMO.
And when did you start driving a Crown Vic?

He must have ordered the services in an a la carte form. Most of our local dealerships continue to ignore the Maintenance Minder system and recommend 5k intervals for all 4-cyls, and 3750 mi intervals for the V6.

Here, they charge $349 for a 30k service (which they'll sell you if you say you need a B2 or A123 service, or if you're near the 30k mark, period) on the normal Civics. I would think that the Hybrid would be $20 more or so due to the synthetic 0W20 oil; the service includes a thorough inspection, oil/filter change, tire rotation, brake fluid replacement, transmission fluid drain and refill, along with new engine air and cabin air filter.
