Tires

Re: Tires
I recently looked at Michlin tires, they have a delux tire with low noise and low rolling resistance according to the advertising. I'll need some on our Odyssey fairly soon, and will try them for it.
Our HCH '04 with auto trans. is over 70k miles on second set tires at 40,300 miles that are Michelin X Radials, All Season, P185/70 R14 87S Treadware 740, Traction A, Temp B.
They are still noisy, as on highway we listen to Sirris radio talk etc. and books on tape.
I've added some sound deadening material no significant change in tire noise, road surface makes the most difference.
I recently increased pressure from 33 to 38 with no difference in traction or noise, getting about 34-38 mpg around Austin TX, no highy miles yet, last long trip were getting 44 mpg at sweet spot 71.5 mph , cruise & AC on.

Re: Tires
What's the current favorite tire around here? I put a new set of DUNLOP SP20 FE on my car Dec 07 and apparently the dealer thinks I need new ones all around (in for other service items).
The dealer has given me a quote for the 4 tires, but though I would check here to see if I should consider other outlets and/or brands.

Re: Tires
Check out www.tirerack.com or www.discounttire.com . The original Dunlops may be great for mpg but are terrible as far as traction or handling on dry, wet or snow............
