Thinking of buying a USED 2005 HCH I "Does it still have warranty?"
I found this wonderful forum while researching battery prices for this honda I found for sale, even though the car has no issues, I had heard it can be expensive to fix. This vehicle is the Auto and has 133k miles, no check engine light, runs great. They are asking $4600. Would I still need to pay, like if it needed a software upgrade or if I would start to get that emissions problem where the software is the telling the ecm that the cats are going bad? I have read on this forum that the warranty is up 80K miles, so I know that getting parts replaced for free is going to be out of the question, unless it's a recall. What do you think>?

I don't think that car will be under any warranty. unless you in CA and the battery might be cover with 150k warranty, not sure the years. But i would double check with your local Honda dealer to be sure. Even recalls has limited on it, for example there is a start clutch recall, but that is only up to 100k miles. anything over you will to pay or call honda corp for goodwill assistants. If you are buying from dealer, and they offer a extended warranty, i would really consider paying for it.
I brought a used 03 HCH from Honda and purchased the extend warranty and so far got a whole tranny replaced at 100k, start clutch replaced 125K and im currently at 130K miles. Both things would have costed me 5k+ in repair out of my pocket if i didn't get the warranty.
