I guess I could have asked you in a pm..since your taking the time to reply, but maybe posted here will help others..how does the 12volt charge without IMA...
1. IMA motor
2. IMA battery
3. IMA control unit
4. DC-DC converter
As long as 1, 3 and 4 are operable, the IMA system will charge a good 12V battery. There are many who choose to bypass the battery rather than deal with the expense of a replacement battery and/or are not comfortable with DIY solutions.
